Nowadays, spring in Barcelona equals diving into the mobile world. About 108,000 visitors attended the 2017 Mobile World Congress. 2,300 companies from 208 countries and territories, exhibited across nine halls and eleven outdoor spaces at Fira Gran Via and Fira Montjuïc from the 27th of February until the 2nd of March. Codespring team from Cluj-Napoca, Romania, attended the 4th time in a row this leading technology event. And yes (!) it was another successful encounter with potential partners and customers.

Since we are at the greatest mobile technology fair worldwide, it is all about mobile devices and accessories.
On stage: LG G6, LG X Power2, Sony Xperia XZ Premium, Sony Xperia XZs, Samsung Galaxy 8 tease, Samsung Galaxy Tab S3, Huawei P10, Huawei Watch 2, ZTE Gigabit, Moto G5, BlackBerry KeyOne, Porsche Design Book One and a comeback of Nokia.
On 2017 edition’s display we counted: connected homes, connected cars, VR, AR, 3D printings, holograms, artificial intelligence, wearables, innovative materials and solutions. The GSMA Innovation City proved to be a hot spot for the forefront mobile enabled products and services.
Of major importance was the promotion of 5G that should be rolled out by 2020 to meet business and consumer demands. There is a general preparation for faster speeds and new use cases as mobile systems and base stations will require new and faster application processors, basebands and RF devices.
The 4-years-from-now (4YFN) the startup business platform that enables startups, investors and corporations to connect and launch new ventures together impressed the visitors by the number and type of entrepreneurs present at the Fira Montjuïc. The companies that pitched for the 4YFN prize showcased solutions aiming at a more sustainable life and efficient energy consumption.
