Participants from the Codespring Mentoring Program delivered exceptional results in the IT section of the 27th Transylvanian Scientific Student Conference (ETDK).
Our mentoring program, active for over a decade, is a core initiative of the company aimed at preparing young talents for successful careers in software development. It emphasizes not only practical experience but also the acquisition of theoretical knowledge, supporting both professional and academic growth.
A key aspect of nurturing talent is participating in national and international student conferences. These events provide valuable experience in writing, publishing, and presenting research findings. Participants gain confidence in public speaking, improve their ability to argue their points, and learn to process feedback from a professional jury. Recognition and awards at the Transylvania IT Students Conference serve as motivation for future research endeavors.
Mentoring Program Participants at the Transylvania IT Student Conference Cluj Napoca
This year, the Hungarian Student Association of Cluj-Napoca (KMDSZ) organized the 27th Transylvanian Scientific Student Conference, with nearly 200 participants presenting their work in 32 sections. Codespring Success at the Transylvania IT Students Conference
Dr. Károly Simon, a member of this year’s professional jury, commented: “The IT sections were highly competitive compared to previous years. We reviewed excellent papers and the presentations were of such a high standard that it made the jury’s job difficult. To recognize all deserving participants, we awarded shared placements to the best teams.”
Given the strong field, we are proud to announce that five projects from the mentoring program were awarded prizes. In the IT II: Innovative Computer Products and Applications section, first place was awarded to Determining and Managing Parking Space Availability Using Artificial Intelligence. The shared second prize went to AttendEZ: Automated Attendance Recording System and Sixth Sense Sprinkler: Standardized Smart Greenhouse System. Third place was awarded to Generating Line Drawings Based on Photos and Controlling the Line-us Drawing Robot and Hand Movement Recognition Based on Data Streams from Sensors Attached to Gloves.
We congratulate all the teams, mentors, and university coordinators whose expertise and dedication led to these outstanding results!
