The IT Conference at Sapientia Univeristy – Mathematics and Informatics Faculty in Târgu Mureș, Transylvania, featured a strong turnout from participants in the Codespring Mentoring Program.
Codespring Mentees at Transylvania IT Students Conference 2024
In addition to showcasing technical expertise and dedication, participants from the Codespring Mentoring Program, also students at the Faculty of Mathematics-Informatics brought forward an entrepreneurial mindset. All of them entered the scientific papers competition with projects developed during the program.
Most participants presented their findings in Computer Science and Software Development, with the majority of papers being related to coding projects. A standout entry in Hardware Development and Embedded Systems won first place.
Overall, the event was a success for all teams involved, with impressive outcomes:
- Gergő G. and Hunor K. won 1st prize and Hungarian It Students Conference (OTDK) nomination (proiect: BudgetHub: modern and intelligent real estate search)
- Alex – 1st prize (Algorithm design for the motion of a quadruped mobile robot)
- Á. Szilveszter – 3rd prize (Cronotus – Sports Event Coordination Web Application)
- Henrietta V. and Szabolcs S. – special prize (VolunteerVerse: Coordination platform for volunteers and organizations)
For those who took part in the Codespring Mentoring Program, the Transylvanian Students Scientific Conference competition proved to be an invaluable learning experience, providing feedback that will serve as a solid foundation for future work with students.
Additionally, Codespring was represented on the jury by our software developer, Attila M., who took part as a speaker for the IT and Software Development Section.
